This morning I went up to the Department Managers Office to punch the day's order into the computer.  It's a sparse space, maybe 12x12 with a counter, computer and a phone.  When I got there, someone was already in there, but on the phone and not using the computer.  It's a communal space so I shimmied on over to the computer and started typing.  The man on the phone set his back to me and faced the wall to make his phone calls, he was, I guess, seeking a little privacy. In Just Twelve Days I leave for Paris!  And in just thirteen days I'll get there!  I fly from Newark where I'll guess we'll be delayed for, oh, say, 10 hours.  My connection in Dusseldorf is only 50 minutes, so the general incompetence of the Newark airport and the airline industry will make it near garaunteed that I'll miss the connection, and Lufthansa will lose my luggage just to make sure it's a real kick in the nuts.  I'll arrive in Dusseldorf with a good "Fick Dich" attitude while they search for a new flight for me to Paris.  I'll arrive in Charles de Gaulle ten days late after an short incarceration over a misunderstanding between me
